Laurel Ridge’s CEO Named Chairman for THA’s BH Council

In January 2018, the Texas Hospital Association (THA) nominated and elected Jacob Cuellar, M.D., CEO of Laurel Ridge Treatment Center, to serve as the next Chairman for THA’s Behavioral Health Council. THA, which is one of the largest hospital associations in the country, represents over 400 hospitals and health care systems and employs some 365,000 health care professionals statewide.

THA’s mission is to serve as a trusted source and unified voice to influence excellence in health care for all Texans. The Behavioral Health council is charged with leading change to support all Texas hospitals to deliver accessible, affordable, high-quality behavioral health care.

In addition to his new role with the THA, he is on the Executive Board for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the nation’s first Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Laurel Ridge Treatment Center Acquires 10-Acre Land Parcel to Construct New Facility to Serve U.S. Military Veterans.

Laurel Ridge Treatment Center will construct a new 80-bed facility that will serve our military heroes from across the nation and international bases. This new facility construction commemorates Laurel Ridge’s 31st year of service to San Antonio, Texas and the U.S. This land acquisition will allow for the immediate start of the design process. Construction is expected to begin by early summer.
